Marble tiles can be installed with a set mortar that will hold them in place. You simply put the stone tiles where they go and then when you are ready, push down on them. With the irregularities of marble stone tiles, you are not going to have grout lines of all the same size. That just makes your floor look more interesting.

When you are installing stone flooring, you will have to have a wet saw to cut the tiles. You also need to be sure to use an acrylic sealer on your marble stone flooring prior to grouting the tiles. If you don't, the grout will end up staining the stone flooring.

Marble is not the only option for stone flooring, of course. What type of stone flooring you choose will have to do with what room you are considering installing the flooring in. Stone flooring is good looking and is an environmentally friendly way to add some beauty to your home.
